The incident occurred near the waterfront, where the alleged victim accused the suspect of tampering with his bike, said Sausalito police Officer Don Bartol. The suspect pulled out the knife during the argument and then ran off. Police contacted the suspect nearby on Caledonia Street. Bartol said he was not difficult to find, as he was wearing a mohawk haircut and multicolored pants. Kit Kirill Kipnis, 44, was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of exhibiting a deadly weapon, attempted petty theft and violating the conditions of his probation. In May, Kipnis was arrested on suspicion of public nudity and carrying a switchblade after he was seen walking pantless in the Rush Creek Open Space Preserve in Novato.
